Mission & Philosophy

Our mission at Arrow Mental Health is to help individuals and families become whole and balanced. We are of service to you and offer quality mental health therapy, supervision, and consulting. Our philosophy is to work with people from a systems perspective with a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach. This means we consider multiple aspects of your life to assist you with whatever struggles you may be handling, and are sure to consider your physical health, thoughts and emotions, close people and your environment, as well as personal values and beliefs.

Arrow Mental Health is committed to offering quality mental health services to all people regardless of religious preference, race, sex, sexual orientation, or education. We aim to treat everyone with respect and dignity. We provide teletherapy to adults, couples, families, and adolescents (13 years of age and older) living in the states of Washington and California through a secure and HIPPA compliant video platform.

Providers

Dr. Sean Fitzgerald

Sean

Dr. Fitzgerald is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (#LH60626799) and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#MG60914754) in the State of Washington, and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California (#LPCC2193). He is an approved supervisor in both California and Washington, providing supervision for associate therapists and counselors working towards full licensure. Dr. Fitzgerald earned a Doctor of Marital and Family Therapy after completing two Masters; one in Counseling and another in Higher Education.

Working from a biopsychosocial-spiritual framework, Dr. Fitzgerald treats the whole person by addressing multiple aspects of life that contribute to an imbalance of the emotional regulatory system. With extensive training and work, Dr. Fitzgerald increases health related quality of life for medically fragile individuals and families. His approach works well with anxiety and depression, he is an effective couple’s therapist and has demonstrated success with men of all ages and stages of life. Dr. Fitzgerald is a trained Restorative Retelling Facilitator and fully exercises his compassionate abilities with his work in grief and loss, whether it be anticipated, ambiguous, or sudden and violent.

Along with psychotherapy, Dr. Fitzgerald is available for professional case consultation, conducts program development and evaluation, and can be scheduled for trainings and presentations. Dr. Fitzgerald has developed hospital-based programs, conducted program evaluations in school and hospital settings for personnel as well as program effectiveness. Dr. Fitzgerald has presented at multiple national conferences and has provided trainings to the spectrum of audiences, ranging from psychoeducation to parents and families to physicians on psychosocial interventions.

Ginger Simonton

Ginger

Dr. Ginger Simonton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of California (#115843). Dr. Simonton received her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and her PhD in Systems, Families, and Couples from Loma Linda University. She has worked across multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospital, and outpatient therapy being actively engaged with children, adolescents, adults and their families. Employing a family systems approach, Dr. Simonton believes in improving family systems and couple relationships through increased communication, attachment, and overall functioning. Using a compassionate and patient-centered approach to healing, Dr. Simonton works collaboratively with clients to create and meet treatment goals.

Dr. Simonton believes in whole person care and applies a biopsychosocial-spiritual framework in her treatment of individuals, couples, and whole family systems. This framework allows Dr. Simonton to approach wellness through treatment of these essential domains of health in treating individuals with chronic illness, trauma, grief and loss, depression and/or anxiety, conversion disorders, adjustment disorders, and individuals with a history of child abuse. In conjunction with a biopsychosocial framework, Dr. Simonton is also competent in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy, as well as demonstrating effectiveness working with veterans, first responders, military personnel and their families.

In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Simonton has researched issues of child abuse and biopsychosocial health outcomes, lectured in hospitals, presented at national conferences and has also taught various courses within the field of psychology and psychotherapy.

Adam Sipes

Adam

Adam is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (#LPCC5796) in the State of California. His approach is one of compassion and self love, believing that loving ourselves and treating ourselves how we would want others to treat us, is vital to growth and progress. Adam is transparent, honest and direct and expects the same from the individuals with whom he works. He holds a Masters in Counseling and a Bachelors in Sociology and Anthropology and has been working over a decade in mental health in wilderness programs, group homes, hospitals, education, and private practice. Adam works with adults, adolescents, and children, and has helped individuals who were dealing with a plethora of mental health struggles, ranging from deep rooted childhood trauma, to anxiety and depression.


Fees

An individual therapy session is 50 minutes and Couples therapy is 80 minutes. The rate for service of individual therapy is $160 per Individual session and $225 for Couples. Arrow Mental Health, INC. requires a credit/debit card to be maintained securely on file to facilitate billing, with your credit card being charged at the end of the session. Cash is accepted for in-person sessions. All appointments are to be scheduled in advance with the therapist, and appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged an entire session fee.

Frequency

Many people find weekly sessions are very helpful initially to get some relief for the problems that brought them into therapy. Others for scheduling or budget concerns find every other week to work for them. Generally, once a month, or on-call, is reserved for established clients who are working on maintenance after issues and symptoms have subsided. The best results occur when appointments are consistently scheduled and attended regularly.

Insurance

As Arrow Mental Health, INC is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance, you can request billing documentation regarding paid therapy sessions for submission to your insurance company. If you choose to submit to an insurance company for reimbursement, Arrow Mental Health, INC will provide a “Superbill” to you which may include limited personal information such as demographics, session dates, session length, and diagnosis. It is also important to know that the insurance company may perform an audit of your records with Arrow Mental Health, INC.
